Final reflection
-a wonderful journey in BEMM129
BEMM129 is the first selected course,in my second semester. Because of the curiosity about this course through blogging, and the lack of electronic skill in my life, I started the 11-week course with curiosity. This course of study really made me think Benefit a lot!

1. Description
The study of BEMM129 is very different from other courses. Firstly, there are no exams and no lectures in this course. We will complete our assignments through blogging to evaluate our learning. Secondly, in the learning process, most of courses also learn online through MOOC and the materials placed in ELE. And we are required to actively participate in the forum and discuss different topics every week with teachers and students. This is a way of learning courses that I have never participated in. It is very interesting, free and challenging.
2. Feelings
At beginning, I was full of worries. Because I am a person who is not keen on electronic technology. But when I started to learn, I found it very interesting, and my understanding of the digital economy is getting deeper and deeper. For example, by measuring the remaining capacity of the market, using digital technology to match the sharing economy of buyers and sellers. Uber, AirBnB, Alibaba and other social media. All of these have helped me understand more about the changes in our lifestyle and the possible future impact of the digital economy. (Digital 2019: Global Internet Use Accelerates – We Are Social, 2020)

3. Evaluation& Analysis
It was an eye-opener to discuss with classmates in the tutorial course and forum. Such as in the topic of smart city, I talked about Beijing, the capital of China. Through discussion, I have realized more deeply that technology will bring people a more convenient and comfortable lifestyle. (A look at Shenzhen and Huawei’s ‘smart city’ project, 2020) At the same time, I need to improve my time management. I should have done better.
4. Conclusion& Action plan
In summary, the study of this course gave me the first contact and use of the blog. Secondly, I enjoy the discussion with my classmates in the forum and the process of learning from each other. The collision of thinking has made me gain a lot. Finally, I have a deeper understanding of digital commerce. Hawking once predicted that humanity will eventually face the challenge of smarter artificial intelligence than humans. Therefore, this study is not the end point, and it will be the starting point for me to face and think about the digital economy in the future.
